History

The Department of Information Systems and Technologies started education in 2024 within the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences of Eskişehir Technical University, which was established by the Presidential decision numbered 8785, published in the Official Gazette numbered 32620 dated 02.08.2024.

The Department of Information Systems and Technologies was established to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in strategically important fields shaped by the digital transformation. Its establishment is grounded in higher education policies that prioritize employability and alignment with industry needs.

The language of instruction in the department is 100% English. This enables students to develop strong language proficiency, allowing them to follow global scientific developments and gain a competitive advantage in both national and international job markets. The department adopts an interdisciplinary approach by integrating fields such as Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics, Business and Management, and Human-Computer Interaction.
